Methodology

The portal reads public API data and imported legacy records into one normalized WordPress observation table. Country, indicator, ranking and comparison pages use this local layer before requesting remote data.

1. Country and indicator identifiers are validated against the controlled catalog.
2. Observations are stored uniquely by country, indicator and year, including source key, status and a reproducible data hash.
3. Changed values create permanent revision records before the current observation is replaced.
4. Quality rules are recalculated after every import or source refresh.
5. Background jobs update priority data in small batches with overlap locks, retry handling and hourly health checks.
6. Stale values may remain visible as a marked fallback, but they are excluded from indexing.
7. API requests are measured by status, duration, response size and retry count.

• At least 5 observations are required.
• The newest observation may be no more than 3 years old.
• A source and fetch timestamp must be present.
• API errors, placeholders, missing data and stale fallback pages receive noindex.
• A country profile needs at least 4 indexable indicators.
• A ranking needs at least 20 country values.
• Only eligible dynamic pages are included in the Economy sitemap.

Each component receives a transparent score from 0 to 100 based on a published target, lower-is-better or higher-is-better rule. Available component scores are normalized by their available weight. A letter grade is issued only when at least 60% of the total weight is available.

The result is an Index Zero analytical heuristic and not an official sovereign credit rating.
