The portal uses local normalized observations first. All controlled indicators are refreshed through provider-level bulk jobs. Recent years are checked daily, priority indicators several times per day, and complete histories weekly.
Changed values are not silently overwritten. The previous and replacement values are retained in the revision history with detection time, source and data year.
Missing values are not replaced with invented estimates. Temporary API failures may use clearly marked stale data when that fallback is enabled.
